TSoM Video Clip
I was trying to clean my yahoo mail inbox this morning when I chanced upon an old email sent by a high school classmate entitled The Sound of Music. Since I am a TSoM avid fan, I did not delete the email. Well, it’s really not about the film per se but some spectacular video clip shot at the Central Station of Antwerp in Belguim.
Here, check this out:
Isn’t this fun to watch???
My Magic 8
Last month, I was tagged by AC on this 888 game. Since I had a trip somewhere down south, I promised myself to complete this meme right after my last travel entry. And so, here I am, sharing to you certain details that this meme required.
As I was writing this, I was simultaneously browsing information about the number EIGHT. And here is what I found from geocites.com:
The Number Eight- Power, Authority Valves New Money and Possessions.
The number eight is described by keywords of power, authority, values new money and possessions. I connect it to the planet Venus because Venus in traditional Astrology was the second benefic planet. Now no Planet is good or bad. Each has its good and bad side, however the archetype for Venus is easier to take than say the archetype of Pluto. The sign Venus is in corresponds to how and whom we are attracted to. Venus is like sugar it is what makes life sweet.
Venus rules over relationships. As human beings we are social creatures. Some more than others but all people need other people or the sweetness of life will be gone.
The Planet Venus- An Earth Planet
Venus is dignified in Taurus, and is detriment in Scorpio; It’s exalted in Pisces and has its fall in Virgo.
The house where Venus is found highlights the area in life where a person can excel (Taurus) as well as the social life of the person (Libra). The sign shows what type of partner a person is attracted to. Venus is a planet whose archetype includes all that is beautiful, arts, fashion and social.
So based on this, may konek talaga ako sa number 8 because I’m a taurenean, into arts (as in maarte!), fashionista (hindi lang masyadong halata, hehehe!), social climber…. and most importantly, I am ruled by Venus, the GODDESS OF BEAUTY! Need I say more??? ;)
Well, here goes my 888 chuvaness:

Bora Escapade – Day 4 (051209)
It was our last day in Boracay. We were scheduled for the 1:20 pm flight so we needed to leave the island earlier as expected… 8:30 a.m.! Well, it’s because we needed to travel back to Kalibo for more than an hour for us to catch our flight to Manila.
The 8:30 a.m. call time did not prevent us from spending our last moments at the shore. Mommy and Gemma opted to stay at the hotel room while Judith and I went to the shore for some last pictorials and quick dip. Yep, I was able to enjoy the clear waters of Boracay only on my 4th and last day… in just 20 minutes. Ganyan ako, I don’t swim much. I like staying at the shore, taking shots of sunset, savoring the sceneries… and just wearing bikinis. LOL. Also, I go to the waters during early morning when the sun is still sober as I don’t wanna get too much tanned.
So, after that short dip, we went back to the hotel room. Had a quick breakfast… and lots of photo op! LOL.

Overlooking the resort's swimming pool

... and of course, with Mudra!

Overlooking the beach naman... hehehe!

Si Mudra nagrequest pa talaga ng solo! Hehehe!
We were picked up at exactly 8:30 a.m. Boarded the van, took a boat ride and a tourist bus that took us back to Kalibo.
We were a bit too early as it was only 11 a.m. when we arrived at Kalibo airport. It meant, we needed to waste some freakin’ 2 hours at that small airport. We just had our light lunch at a ala-Starbucks cafeteria at the 2nd floor and did some last minute shopping for pasalubongs and souvenirs. And there’s one thing that got me pre-occupied during that 2-hour ordeal at the airport… boy watching!!! Yep, you read it right! I spotted a hot hunk slash very much papable non-Fil guy waiting for the same flight. Too bad, he’s with his girlfriend. But what the heck, I spent some grand time secretly ogling, admiring… and taking pics.

See?!?! Balikat pa lang eh ulam na! Hehehe!

Yummy indeed!!!
At around 1 p.m., we heard an announcement that our flight was delayed. I thought, “Oh no, not again! I’m so not gonna take Zest Air ever again.” The airline crew said that their aircraft was broken and they could not confirm the new ETD. Everyone was kinda freakin’ out. Who wouldn’t???
After an hour, the same crew made another announcement that there’s no assurance for the aircraft to get repaired. I heard some clamor but we remained calm. The airline then decided that they’d fly passengers in a smaller aircraft which can only sit 56 passengers. Mommy, Judith and I were included in the list of first 56 passengers. Not hearing Gemma’s name got us furious.
After the announcement, Gemma and I, together with a number of people, approached the airline crew. I was the first to question the list. I asked, “What was your basis for the list? Why did you choose passengers according to their surname? It’s not my friend’s fault that her name starts with W.” The crew replied, “Ma’am, it’s not chosen according to surname but the check-in time.” Duh? I wasn’t born yesterday. That freakin’ passengers’ list was done in alphabetical order. So, it got me more furious, “Ok. Together with two others, we checked-in at the same time. And why isn’t she in the list while all of her companions will take the first flight?” Another lady uttered the same statement as half of their companions weren’t called. Due to my maldita and half-charming nature, we were able to get Gemma on the first flight. We went back to our seats and tried to wait for the aircraft patiently… while I got myself busy again ogling at that hunk in front of me. Grabe, ang guapo talaga! Binusog talaga nya ng sobra-sobra ang mga mata ko. LOL.
I then remembered our baggages. I thought, if Gemma was initially listed in the second flight, our things might get lost. So, we again approached the crew and told him our concern. He was kind enough to refer us to their baggage assitant, who led us inside the baggage area. We just had to make sure that our bags are with us when we fly back to Manila. Good thing, we found all our bags. I even joked, “Kuya, pa-sure lang na kasama namin yung mga baggage pag-uwi ng Manila ah! O gusto mo, ako na ang magload nito sa airplane?” The baggage assistant replied back smiling, “Kami na po, Ma’am.”
At around 4:30 pm, the aircraft that will take us back to Manila landed to Kalibo Airport. As we were walking at the tarmac, the baggage assistant recognized me and said, “Ma’am, nailagay na po namin ang bags nyo sa plane. Have a safe flight po.” Oh di ba naman, dahil sa kakulitan ko eh naalala na ako ng mama. Hehehe! His statement really made me smile so I replied back, “Thank you, Kuya! See you next flight!”
The Zest Air experience was a bit excruciating. But hey, I’ve experienced longer delay with Cebu Pacific but the Zest Air crew were a bit more ahead when it comes to customer service.
Well dear friends, there you have it! This is the end of my Bora blog series. Thanks for much bearing with me. To view more pics of my Bora trip, you may check my multiply photos section. Happy viewing!!!
Bora Escapade – Day 3 (051109)
We started our 3rd day in the wonderful island of Boracay at around 8am.
All dressed up in our swimwear, we headed to the shore before going to the hotel’s restaurant. Yep, pictorial first before breakfast. Ganyan kami ka-adik sa picture! Hehehe! Pardon me though as I can’t share much pics of this pictorial moments as I was explicitly in 2pc swimsuit… baka i-ban ako ng wordpress if I post those pics here. LOL. So here are the most decent shots:

Feeling very conservative in sarong 😛

At syempre, di nagpakabog si Mudra... in fenk board shorts talaga!!!
After this pictorial and a very quick breakfast, off we went to Station 1 for our most awaited island hopping, which was arranged by that guy who offered us the banana boat ride. We got the island hopping package at P1,300 and I wasn’t much happy with the rate because that darn sales guy cheated me with the package. Hmmm… I’d rather not discuss it further, maasar lang ako uli! LOL.
It was a bit of a long walk from our hotel to Station 1’s boat dock area. The sun was shining so bright so I took out my umbrella to protect me from the rays. Yep, you read it right, nagpayong ako sa Bora at ang mga dayuhang nadaanan ko eh nakatingin sa akin lahat. I guess those foreigners thought what kind of freak I was. Bakit ba, ayokong umitim! Hehehe!
It took us 20 to 25 minutes to get to Crystal Cove Island. And these are the views on our way to the island…

I soooo love taking pics with sailboats...

... and small islets too!
But of course, I took some pics with me and Mudra in it…

Sariling sikap shot with Mudra

At kelangan may solo moment!
When we reached Crystal Cove Island, we were asked to pay an entrance fee of P200 per head. The Crystal Cove attendants were kind enough to give Mommy her senior citizen’s discount despite the absence of her ID. Oh well, obvious na obvious naman sa SC yung nanay ko noh?! Hehehe!
And so, we started with our tour. We needed to do some short trekking to see the entire island.
Our boatman slash tour guide, Kuya Joey, was kind enough to take our pictures so we could completely enjoy our tour as a group. Say nyo, yang si Kuya Joey eh half-breed, Cooper ang apelyido. Half-american pa ang loko! Hehehe!
Since, it’s my second time in Bora, I am familiar with the place. We were taken to Cave 1 also known as Crystal Cave, where we enjoyed some quick dip in the island’s crystal clear water.

Si Mudra nakavest pa talaga... kala mo malalim ang dagat! Hehehe!
We just had a 10-minute swim there, then, off we went to Cave 2…

This way to Cave 2
Mommy got a bit tired walking so she opted to rest and wait for us in one of the nipa huts we found along the way. I was supposed to suggest her the same as I knew we needed to crawl to get to the Cave. Baka di na kayain ng powers nya ang gumapang. Hehehe!

Swim muna before the crawl...

Silhouette ang drama at the other side of the cave
It was already past 11am, so Kuya Joey, asked that we go to Crocodile Island for some snorkeling.
I had troubles wearing life vest while snorkeling so I opted to go down without one. But since I don’t know how to swim, I just asked one of the boatmen to assist me and immediately save me in case I drown myself. Judith and Gemma were able to see some fish while I got myself busy playing at the katig:

My first time without life vest 😛
When we were finished snorkeling, a smaller boat approached us and charged us P20 per head for snokeling fee. Parang disco bar noh, may entrance fee rin! Hehehe!
Since it was already past 12 noon, we asked Kuya Joey to drop us at Station 1 instead as we needed to have lunch.
As soon as the boat docked, I went rushing to the shore when I saw the Havaianas shop. Of course, that called for another photo op. LOL!

Addict talaga sa Havaianas 🙂
Since we were in Station 1, guess where did we have our lunch??? Where else but… at Jonah’s!!! We really got addicted with that fruit shake so we opted to take some light lunch there. Their food are quite affordable. Judith and Gemma ordered Seafood Pasta and Tropical Crepe while Mommy and I opted for the Boracay Sandwich and Mango Crepe… and again, some fruit shakes!

Our lunch at Jonah's

A shot from Jonah's... parang ang sarap nung ice cream!!!
Again, it was a bit of a quick lunch. I requested that we further explore Station 1 as I wasn’t able to see the end of the island in our first visit. Apparently, Station 1 houses the more expensive resorts and offers a more quiet and relaxing ambiance.
My agenda was to go to Friday’s Resort and take some pics there. It was really freakin’ hot that we were almost ready to collapse. Good thing, we reached Friday’s Resort before we all ran out of breath.

At kelangan letter "i" ang drama ko??? Hehehe!
Going back to Station 2 was less of an ordeal as the skies turned a bit cloudy. It gave us more opportunities to savor the serene shores of Station 1. Oh, I got some glances from 2 hot looking Latino guys. Kaso naman kabuntot ko si Mudra. Sayang! LOL. And we also got to see Marc Nelson… and he smiled at us. Hmmm… di kaya si Mudra ang type nila. Hehehe!
I was able to get some nice shots in Station 1… of course, with me in it!

Sorry, I had to crop... very revealing back shot ito eh! Hehehe!
It was low tide that time so the Grotto area was very much accessible. Since Mommy wasn’t able to get near the Grotto on our first visit, I took her up the Virgin Mary’s image.

With my two Moms 🙂
Then, it’s time to go back to our hotel to get ourselves freshen up as it was nearing sunset already.
Gemma and Judith went back to our hotel room while I opted to have a massage at the shore… one of the things I regularly do whenever I go to the beach. My massage session ended just in time for the sunset. I sooo love taking sunset shot so I would normally bum at the shore just to take pics of this amazing scene.

Don't you love pics like this?

Boys in skimboards...

... and my sunset silhoutte shot with Mudra!

Bora Escapade – Day 2 (051009)
It was just a short catching-up breakfast since Janice and I are in constant communication. So, what was left for us to do was this photo op:

Breakfast at La Carmela with Janice, Joie and Mudra

At the lobby... nakapantulog pa talaga ako! Hehehe!
And so, Janice and Joie left Boracay around 6:30am. Mom and I went back to the hotel room to get ourselves freshened up. Gemma and Judith were already prepping up when we got there.
We don’t hav anything scheduled for the day so I just dragged them for some shore walking so they could get familiarized with the place. But of course, lots of photo op happened along the way:

Mutya ng Pilipinas 1998 and Ms. Earth 1953... hahaha!

Full-fledged Boracay and Havaianas addict!

Savoring each of our fruit shakes...

Grotto shot... high tide kaya malayo ang shot!

Syempre with Mudra din! Sa stairs na lang, high tide nga eh!

My triquetra henna... very Halliwell sister!
Since it was a little past noon, we opted to go back and rest for a short while.
We just bummed around the shore. Gemma has been dying to get her skin tanned so she spent some minutes under the sun. Judith, Mommy and I, on the other hand, hid under a tree. Mga takot mangitim! LOL. Suddenly, a guy approached us and offered banana boat ride. Since we don’t have anything planned, we gave in to the offer. But hey, it took me like 5 minutes to negotiate for a P250-per-pax banana boat ride. And I even haggled to get my mom ride in the speed boat… for FREE! Lucky talaga si Mudra, Mother’s Day eh! LOL.

Di naman banana ung boat eh... pencil kaya!

Di naman masyadong malayo ang shot, di ba?
It was an ok activity for me. I just wish they flipped that boat so that ride would me more fun. But since there were kids on board, it was ok na rin.
Since it was a Sunday, we needed to hear mass at 4pm. So, after that short banana boat ride, we all went back to the hotel to get changed in more decent clothes.
The Holy Rosary Church is located somewhere in Station 1 so we took a tricycle going there. It was a small nice looking church. While inside the church, I confirmed one of my long-time wishes… I wanna get married in Boracay… in this very church! Since, Catholics are no longer allowed to have beach wedding, I will just settle for a beach reception. So, to my future groom and hubby, please take note of this. We’ll get married in this church! LOL.

Dito ako magpapakasal... promise yan!!!

Outside Holy Rosary Parish Church
I soooo love sunset so I didn’t let my 2nd night pass by without taking shots of the Bora sunset. Too bad though that our 2nd day sunset is not as amazing as I have seen in my first visit. But still, it took some shots.

Mother and daughter moment 🙂
After that short sunset pictorial, we had our buffet dinner along the shore. It was included in our package so eat galore kami.

Mudra, picture oh! Smile ka!!!

Ke Mudra ang beer, akin ung shake ah! hehehe!
The rest of the night was again spent with shore exploration…

Fire dance somewhere in Station 1

Oh yes, may Starbucks na sa Bora!!!

Papicture lang sa Regency Hotel...

... at sa Le Soleil na rin!
Since we were all a bit tired walking around the shore, we called the night off at around 11 midnight. Ang aga pa di ba?! Kasagsagan pa lang ng partee!!! Bakit ba, eh pagod na kami! LOL
So, it was snooze time for us…

Sleeping time...
To be continued…
Bora Escapade – Day 1 (050909)
Well, well, well… the long wait is over. Here’s my first entry (take note: first pa lang… meaning, there will be more to come, LOL!) on my Mother’s Day getaway to the beautiful island of Boracay.
As always, I start my travel slash escapade entries with the cast of characters. So, here are my Bora co-stars:
- Mommy (I guess you know her by now 🙂 )
- Gemma (my colleague)
- Judith (my colleague)
- Janice (my former colleague)
- Joie (pronounced as Joey, Janice’s daughter)
So, now you know the whole cast, I’ll start off with my kwento.
We were scheduled for the 11:20 a.m. flight of Zest Air. It was my first time with that aircraft so I had mixed emotions. I was both excited and nervous… eh kasi naman may bumagsak kaya na Zest Air early this year. But what the heck, I’m already booked!
My mom and I met with Gemma and Judith at the domestic airport. Yep, that old small airport in Pasay. Checking in our bags went on smoothly as we were still within the 45 minutes check-in time allowance. Plus, we had some spare time for a short snack.
Around 11 a.m., there was announcement that our flight will be delayed with a new ETD of 12:10 p.m. There’s nothing much to do so we just chatted, had more snacks and took some pics. It was a bit past 12nn, we heard another announcement that our flight is further delayed. Geez, that’s what we get from our cheap priced fare. So, to cut the long story short, we got boarded at 1:30 pm. Bottomline, Zest Air was 2 hours delayed. Well, I thought I’d just charge that to experience.
And here are our first few shots:

At the Domestic Airport... 2 hours delayed ang flight!!!

Just landed Kalibo airport... pictorial agad!

A classic Kalibo Airport pic 🙂
Since we got the Kalibo route, we had to travel via land to Caticlan for about an hour and a half.
A 20-seater nice looking coaster was already waiting for us. I was a bit amazed that the vehicle was exclusive just for the 4 of us (not like the transport service slash private van that fetched us 2 years ago).
There’s really nothing much to see in Kalibo… just the usual province sceneries. But hey, I did take some shots while inside the coaster. And here’s one of my shots:

On our way to Caticlan Jetty Port
It was a bit of a smooth slash short trip. We arrived at the Caticlan Jetty Port at around 5p.m. Got boarded in a ferry boat which took us to the Boracay Island dock station in 5 minutes.

Boarding the ferry...

Boracay Island Dock Port (not the right term, pauso ko lang yan!)
Another van was waiting for us to take us to the resort. And in less than 10 minutes, we found ourselves checking in at La Carmela de Boracay.

La Carmela de Boracay
We opted for this resort as it was the cheapest beachfront resort in Station 2. I was able to get a 4D3N package for P4,900 per pax inclusive of breakfast, dinner and all those tranfers I mentioned. Quite a cheap package as we travelled during peak season. 😉
While checking in, I texted my friend Janice and informed her of our arrival. She and her duaghter is about to leave the island the day after (Sunday) so I need to go bar hopping with her later that night. I also SMS-ed my former boss, Ma’am Deck, who now owns a resort in Bora. Good thing, she was manning her resort that week. So I tagged Mommy, Gemma and Judith along as Ma’am Deck offered us free snacks. Talk about resourcefulness! LOL.
So, off we went to Serendipity Resort. It’s located at Station 2, at the back of the famous D’ Mall. As soon as I saw Ma’am Deck, I received some nagging. She was kinda sad that I didn’t opt to stay in her resort. Well, my 3 other companions were Bora first-timers so I thought it would be best to book them in a beachfront resort. But hey, Serendipity Resort offers a quiet atmosphere and homey feeling with their nipa hut-inspired cottages. Plus, their lumpia is really something to die for… uber sarap! If you want to book your stay there, just look for Ms. Deck Ramirez. She’d definitely give you great value for your money. Wag nyo na ako i-mention baka di pa kayo bigyan ng discount. LOL. Seriously, feel free to say you were referred by me or just read about her resort here in my blog. 😉
Oh, here’s our group shot at Serendipity Resort’s gazebo:
We left the resort at 7pm as we needed to do our first agenda… get henna tattoo! I’ll show it off in my next entries ;).
The night was spent with some short rounds at the shore, quick dinner, sand castle photo op. Gemma, Judith and Mudra felt a bit tired so they all opted to rest early while I went out to meet with Janice and Joie for some drinks… fruit shake, that is! Janice’s daughter, Joie, is only 12 years old so alcholic beverage is a no-no. *sad face*
Here are the pics of the rest of the night:

I’m sooooo back!!!
Greetings from the wonderful island of Boracay!!!
Oh di vah naman, very beauty pageant ang intro?! LOL.
We arrived yesterday but I was way too tired and sleepy so I decided to snooze off earlier than usual. I soooo miss writing for my blogsite. And of course, I sooooo missed you too, my blog friends. I have been wanting to go online while I was in Bora but I opted to savor my every moment at that wonderful island. And yes, I indeed had a grand time.
I haven’t forgotten my promise to tell you in details my 4D3N island getaway with Mommy and two of my colleagues. But those entries will have to wait for a couple of day as pics, err more pics, are with my colleague. Hope I could get hold of those precious photos by Monday so I could share them here.
Anyhoo, here’s an uber quick peek of one of my Bora moments:

Kelangan talaga may url sa sand???
BTW, thanks to all those who posted comments in my last post, most especially to those who greeted my Mom. I mentioned each of your names slash psuedonyms. And you all made her smile. Thanks so much for that.
And now, I say GOODBYE…
Yes dear friends, you read it right! Today, I say goodbye to you all…
… but only for a couple of days!!!
Tomorrow, I will be leaving for my bonggang bonggang Boracay weekend with Mudra. I promise to tell you the details our summer slash out-of-town Mother’s Day getaway as soon as I come back home. And as always, I will blog about it blow by blow… and photo supported! So, watch out for my series of Bora escapade entries. LOL!
So for now, I’d like to leave you with these Boracay pics I took some 2 years ago:

Boracay by daybreak

Boracay by day

Boracay by night

Boracay by night... again!

Boracay Grotto at Station 1... extra na ako! 😉
=======================
Since I won’t be able to post an entry on Mother’s Day, here’s special prayer slash poem by Susan Kramer. This goes for all the mothers out there. And for my equally-single friends, online buddies and blog readers, this also goes to your moms. Please send her my wishes of good health, love and peace. May all our mothers be blessed now and always!
A Blessing and Tribute to All Mothers
by Susan Kramer
Blessed be all mothers
Who have come into our lives
Whose kindness, care and loving
Remain with us to guide.
Your inspiration in us
Made us strive in every way
Especially to remember
Helping others makes our day.
Mothers, this little tribute
Flows directly from my heart
You are so loved and cherished
Invaluable, one and all, you are.
I so freakin’ hate you!!!
No, not you! It’s just a title. LOL.
Well, this again is a meme post as I have been tagged by Reesie and Joycee. Honestly, I’m really not much of a meme fan. But seeing my name being tagged sometimes makes me smile. It somehow proves my existence in the blog world. LOL. On the bright side though, meme entries are good fillers if I have nothing nice to write about. Also, it’s just so hard to say no to those 2 sweet blogger gals.
The rule is simple. Just jot down 10 persons slash things slash animals slash anything you hate or whatever pet peeves you have. The pass on the meme curse to 10 others at the end of the post. Note to Ressie and Joycee: Sowee gurlz, I really can’t make it to 13 or 15.
Hmmmm… this one is a bit too hard for me as I don’t normally think much of the things that I hate. Nega things just ruin my day, break my sanity and make my blood boil. A simple thought of my so-called pet peeves attract negative vibes which will later on put my masungit slash busangot nature up to surface. So as much as possible, I try to stay on the positive side. But for meme’s sake, here goes my impromptu pet peeves list, not in chronological order:
Pet Peeve # 1: Violet/Lavander/Purple
I really don’t know the reason behind this but I never liked that color. I don’t own anything in that shade. I don’t even eat anything that has violet or purple. Foods like ube, talong, sapin-sapin (di ba may violet layer yun?), etc. are not for me. So, don’t dare try to serve me those foods. But hey, I eat grapes… but those that are a bit maroonish. 😛

Pet Peeve # 2: Choosy Cab Drivers
Who doesn’t hate them??? I can easily sense a choosy one. He would just slide the window down a bit and asks for my destination. And after telling him, he would say, “Ay sorry, di dun ang punta ko eh!” My sungit nature don’t normally let those scenarios pass just like that. Expect me to utter these words, “Eh lekat ka, jeep nga ang i-drive mo para alam ko kung saan ka papunta!” Sheesh, they are getting onto my nerves now already! LOL. And oh, I don’t normally slam the door whenever a cab driver rejects me. That’s not good for the car owner slash taxi operator. I have a better tactic than that. Whenever I get a chance to open the passenger’s door, I simply leave it hanging open so that darn driver will get out of the vehicle just to close that freaking door. (Parang galit na talaga ako, di ba?)

Pet Peeve #3: Teleserye
I know I’ll have lots of detractors on this one. I’m sorry but I really am not a fan of teleserye. Never was and never will be. Oh hah, ang suplada di ba?! My extreme dislike on teleserye forced me to buy a TV set when Mommy developed the addiction on primetime teleserye. She watches those dragging and uber dramatic teleserye while I’m inside the bedroom enjoying HBO, StarMovies or Disney Channel. Well, I simply don’t have the patience of watching those dramatic TV series over a period of time.

Pet Peeve #4: Grotesque Photos slash Emails
My former colleague used to send me forwarded emails. Some were good. Some were fun. Some were informative. Some were even religious. But when he started sending me those emails with grotesque photo attachments (suicide, killings and other gross images), I didn’t think twice in sending him a note to delete me from his mailing list. Those kinds of photos really give me the chills… and most of the time, ruins my appetite. Of course, this is not photo-supported!
Pet Peeve #5: Dirty Fingernails and/or Toenails
Seeing dirty fingernails or toenails gives me quiver. My nephews and nieces could attest to that. I would always reprimand them of having such dirty fingernails or toenails. Apparently, there are times that I would take them to the bathroom to wash their hands and/or feet and later on cut their fingernails or toenails. Good thing, my cousins (the kids’ parents) don’t get mad at me every time I do that to my nephews and nieces.

Pet Peeve #6: Bad Hair Day
Some say that having a straight hair is the best thing that could ever happen to a girl. I want to prove them wrong! LOL. Straight-haired girl like me gets to experience having a bad hair day too. There are days when my hair just don’t want to cooperate and stay primped as expected.

Pet Peeve #7: Zit… or worse, Acne!
Oh yes, I still get those things up to now. (Kaya Lio, pinagpala ka to have a flawless skin. Pero magwawakas yan pag dinapuan ka ng bulutong. Hehehe!). Pimples and/or acne has been my problem since time immemorial. It’s not chronic though. It’s just a hormonal thing. I guess, my gal readers would know about this. And whenever I get those zitz, it makes me freaking upset.
But hey, I have discovered how to get rid of those stubborn zits intantly… CORTISONE!!! As soon as I see one threatening to sprout out of my skin, I immediate go to the nearest facial clinic for pimple injection. I get instant results in just 1 or 2 days. Imagine that? I should have known about that cortisone injection a long time ago. So, now you know that I am now a thank-you-doc kinda girl. LOL.

Pet Peeve #8: That guy outside my cubicle
I have been vocal about this at work… but only to those who are very close to me. There’s this guy seated outside my cubicle. We belong to the same group but I’m not part of their department as I directly report to the Group Head. The day I first settled in my cubicle was the day I started working like I was in hell. That guy is a bit too noisy and have this feeling “pa-cool” attitude. I would always hear his loud voice saying, “Wazzup y’all!”… in an oh-so-freakin’-annoying kinda way. Oftentimes, he plays music at work, too loud that it disturbs working people around him… like moi! I once asked him to lower the volume but it didn’t stop him from playing loud music the days after. I just couldn’t believe how his supervisor tolerates that kind of attitude at work. And oh, he spends at least 3 hours playing games on his PC. Such an a**hole! 😛

Pet Peeve # 9: Unsolicited SMS
Nowadays, companies are using SMS blast as their additional marketing strategy. I get quite a number of unsolicited SMS from banks offering personal loans and accountancy firms sending invites to seminars. And what’s worse about this unsolicited SMS thingy is that some of them are sent in the wee hours and wakes me up from my deep sleep just to see that message “Need Cash?” Oh crap! I almost always want to reply back with, “I need sleep. You moron!!!” (Ayan nagsungit na naman ako! Hehehe!)

Pet Peeve # 10: Body Odor and Bad Breath
Please don’t get me wrong. I don’t hate people with body odor or bad breath. I just hate being around them. Don’t you hate that too??? It’s really an effort for me to breathe whenever I am around them. But I’m not gifted when it comes to holding my breath. So it’s either I’d die with lack of oxygen in take or die with “anghit” suffocation! I’d go for the former. LOL!
And oh, this is also the reason why I’m not too excited to go back to Singapore. You just do the math! 😛

And as for the passing of the meme curse… here’s one good news to y’all, I am not tagging anyone! I don’t want to help spread negative vibes around the blogosphere. LOL. But anyone who wishes to do this tag may do so… filler entry din ito! Hehehe!

Those searched items once more…
Remember the entry I posted about that funny kilikili hair searched here on my site? Well, I got some new interesting items, but not as nasty and kinky as the first one.
This morning, when I checked my dashboard, I found this in my search section:

Tweety bird get the highest hits, eh? I guess, there are loads of Tweety Bird fans who dropped by my site. LOL.
Since I’m travelling to Boracay exactly a week from now, I want to give some answers to that Boracay query… that thing in red mark. This is just my personal list though. So, you may want to add or delete some items in my “things to bring to Boracay” list. Here goes:
- Cool tops and shorts. I’m not a sundress person so these things are just the perfect pair for me. I always make sure though that I only pack the right amount of pairs. Since I’m a bit of an OC when it comes to clothes, I would normally make a mental note of my wardrobe schedule. Oh yes, as of this writing, I already know what I’m gonna wear in my 4D3N stay in Boracay.

- Swimwear. Need I explain more??? LOL. I’m OC on this one, too. Since I’ll be staying there for 4 days, I will be bringing at least 4 pairs of bikinis. One of each day… for pic purposes! So, I’d know the day the pic was taken. LOL. See, how OC I could get? Hehehe!

- Board Shorts and Cover Ups. I’m way past the sarong stage. These two things will give more comfort when doing the rounds at the shore. But just a piece of advice: Please make sure that the board shorts or cover up matches the bikini, eh?!

- Sun Tan Lotion. Despite my being a beach lover, I really don’t like to get overly tanned. Sayang naman ang effort ko na maligo with papaya soap all year round. LOL! So, I try not to expose myself on the beach with the sun at its hottest (read: 9am to 4pm). I normally take a dip either early in the morning or before sunset. But hey, I make sure that I got some nice tan lines before going back home. LOL.

- Digital Camera. For the photo-addict in me, a digicam is really a must! Too bad, I still haven’t owned a waterproof camera so I can’t take underwater photos just yet. I hope, I get to buy one for my next trip… di ko lang alam kung kelan yang next trip na yan ah! Hehehe!

- Snorkeling Equipment. For those who are a bit too meticulous when it comes to beach equipment, I guess you should need to bring your own should you opt to do some snorkeling. Otherwise, just live with those things that Manong Boatman rent out at minimal fee.

- Beach Sandals or Flip Flops. These things were created to be used at the beach… so please give some justice to their purpose. LOL! But make sure you also bring a cheap pair which you’ll leave at the shore while swimming. Don’t let those nasty flip flop nabbers take those expensive Havais, Cros, Roxy, Billabong sandals from you. I just heard they are a bit too prevalent nowadays. I just hope Bora is not yet plagued with those kind of people.

- Sunglasses. Not just for porma… but for eye protection from the sun as well!

- Moolah. Again, bring just the right amount. You wouldn’t want to spend your entire fortune just for a single beach trip. Do bring an ATM and credit card with you though. They might come handy if you ran out of cash.

So there you have it, my very short must-bring-to-Bora list.
Oh and by the way, try to pack light, eh?!

There was another interesting item in my search list above (first photo). Apparently, I don’t know the answer for this as I very seldom give presents to guys in their sixties. So, I’m really not sure if these gifts are the appropriate things to give to 60-year old men:

Cane

Bell

Hearing Aid

Wig

Do you know what are these?
Kidding aside though, if Tatay is alive today, he would be 66 years old by now. I guess, the best gifts I could give him are those out-of-town or out-of-country trips with me and my Mom. For me, quality time with him (and my Mom), as a card company would say, it’s simply… PRICELESS!!!
