Sya si Chris
I have been a bit busy doing a lot other things online for the past days nights. Hence, no new entries. LOL. One reason was youtube. I have been on youtube for the past couple of nights watching Chris, 100% American guy from New Jersey singing OPMs. Apparently, I came to know about him from Facebook as I’m a member of that group called Definitely Filipino (yata ah, I’m not so sure about the group’s name. LOL!). And sometime last week, they featured this guy. I started watching his videos from then on. So technically now, fan na nya ako! Hehehe!
I was really amazed and impressed how Chris spends too much time playing our local music and belting those famous Pinoy rock songs. I have to admit though that I myself don’t know some of those songs. Shame on me! LOL.
He goes by the handle Ako si Chris. I have added him to my FB list and he immediately accepted. He even left this note on my wall:
Hey Winkie! Thanks for the add and for helping me spread the word about an American from New Jersey rocking out in Tagalog. It’s OPM with an American Twist. I call it “jOePM”.
To give you a clearer idea what I am trying to tell here, ladies and gentlemen, sya si Chris:
That was his rendition of Salamat by The Dawn while here is his version of Ang Huling El Bimbo by Eraserheads:
And, my fave so far is his version of Narda by Kamikazee. I have this in my iTouch now 😛
Isn’t he amazing? I hope he sings the song “Manila”. I bet that one will also suit his voice.
For more of his jOePM songs, check out his youtube site.
