My date with the Prime…

(Note: This is a late post. I was supposed to post this Saturday night but was too lazy tired to write. Sorry na po, please!)

Some two years back, I did an entry about going back to my liberating habit, watching movies alone that is! Last Saturday, I did the same thing. I decided to watch Transformers alone. Not that I don’t have anyone to watch it with, but I would again want to experience my movie-watching independence. Besides, I don’t want to hear a companion murmur some comments while watching the film.

So Saturday morning, I went to the nearest mall. I planned to watch the first screening so I went early… but I was too early that the mall was still closed. I had to wait some 15 minutes outside. Good thing, my iTouch kept me company.

I rushed to the cinema area as soon as the mall opened. But hey, I didn’t look like a typical and hysterical movie fan that you see on TV. I did it with full grace and poise. LOL.

Upon seeing the screening time, I learned that I was too early… again! Earliest screening was scheduled an hour later so I needed to kill time. There’s nothing left for me to do was to window shop. But I failed! I ended up shopping for a jacket at Mango as the store was on sale. Hmmmm… I really need to control my impulse buying. LOL.

So, the time has come for me to see the movie I was waiting for. I took with me  16 oz. of Dairy Queen’s Rocky Road. I have this habit of eating ice cream (instead of popcorn) inside the movie house.

It wasn’t as crowded as I expected and I’ve got myself a nicely-located seat.

And so, my date with the Prime started at 11:15 a.m.

As always, I tried to appreciate the movie as plainly as possible. I don’t normally over-analyze movies like this knowing its being sci-fi in nature and was adapted from the cartoons version. Besides, I went there to enjoy and relax. Just like in the first installment, I was still freaking amazed with the special effects. I was again caught in awe whenever I see those hot freaking vehicles transform into nicely built robots in mid air. Just freaking awesome!

For me, the movie was great. The plot brought in some new characters. BUT, I realized that the subtitle was too plain literal: Revenge of The Fallen… they have this character named The Fallen. Another decepticon. And he is higher in command than Megatron. All along I thought, Megatron was the prime leader of those villain robots. I think I should review the cartoons version over at youtube. LOL.

I got a bit sad when the plot transpired to Optimus Prime’s death. I was expecting though that Sam could bring him back to life. Well, it’s too plain obvious that the Autobots wouldn’t be complete without the Prime. Oh, I will share with you one secret: crush ko si Optimus Prime! LOL. Well, I really like his character. Very strong and manly. I guess, if he were a real man, he would be darn hot and handsome. 😛

I have to agree to some blogger friends who posted an entry about Transformers 2, Megan Fox (Mikaila) was freaking beautiful in the film… too beautiful that she distracts attracts all movie-goers to look at her instead at those freaking robots. And, as I have commented on Kikay’s post, I really got attached to Megan’s white pants. She sure knows how to maintain a nice clean pair of white pants despite the bombing around and those endless running through the dessert with Shia Lebeouf. (Please forgive me for this side comment.)

And oh, the film made me realize that US Military Men are sooooooo freaking hot and delicious. I think I can marry any one of them. LOL.

I really liked the film. I guess I will watch it again this weekend. Hopefully at IMAX or Gateway. 😛
