Fridays with friends…

Last Friday, some close friends from high school had karaoke slash drinking session night at our house. Well, it was Ghie’s post-birthday celebration and she opted to celebrate it at our place. It was is our first time in 6 months to have such gimmick.

Late last year, we had a sort of regular karaoke slash drinking session in our humble home. There came a time when we had home gimmicks almost every weekend. It stopped for a while sometime in November because everyone got busy preparing for the Christmas holidays.

So, last Friday’s session was our first for this year.

I have always been confused why my friends prefer to hold those numerous Friday night  karaoke slash drinking sessions in our house. Same time last year, we went out with some other friends. We had dinner at a seafood resto in Macapagal Avenue and moved to Stabucks in Harbour View. I then heard them, “Inom na lang tayo. Dun tayo kina Winkie!” Since, they are most welcome in our house, I immediately agreed.

Last Friday, while preparing the table for them, I told Gary, one of my closest HS buds, “Alam mo, kompyus ako sa nyo. Bakit ba type na type nyo dito sa haus eh siksikan naman tyo lagi sa liit? Tapos wala pa kaming parking.” He replied, “Eh kasi, feel na feel dito na welcome kami. Yung wala kyeme na welcome.” Well, he has a point there. They are indeed very much welcome in our house… and so as the rest of my friends.

Well, it’s Friday again tomorrow. And I will be meeting another set of friends… new friends actually! It will be my first time to see most of them as I only get to talk to them in the blogosphere. Yep, I’ll have a Friday night out slash EB with some co-bloggers… and of course, I will keep y’all abreast of that kitakitz!
