Bora Escapade – Day 3 (051109)

May 20, 2009

We started our 3rd day in the wonderful island of Boracay at around 8am.

All dressed up in our swimwear, we headed to the shore before going to the hotel’s restaurant. Yep, pictorial first before breakfast. Ganyan kami ka-adik sa picture! Hehehe! Pardon me though as I can’t share much pics of this pictorial moments as I was explicitly in 2pc swimsuit… baka i-ban ako ng wordpress if I post those pics here. LOL. So here are the most decent shots:

Feeling very conservative in sarong :P

At syempre, di nagpakabog si Mudra... in fenk board shorts talaga!!!

After this pictorial and a very quick breakfast, off we went to Station 1 for our most awaited island hopping, which was arranged by that guy who offered us the banana boat ride. We got the island hopping package at P1,300 and I wasn’t much happy with the rate because that darn sales guy cheated me with the package. Hmmm… I’d rather not discuss it further, maasar lang ako uli! LOL.

It was a bit of  a long walk from our hotel to Station 1’s boat dock area. The sun was shining so bright so I took out my umbrella to protect me from the rays. Yep, you read it right, nagpayong ako sa Bora at ang mga dayuhang nadaanan ko eh  nakatingin sa akin lahat. I guess those foreigners thought what kind of freak I was. Bakit ba, ayokong umitim! Hehehe!

It took us 20 to 25 minutes to get to Crystal Cove Island. And these are the views on our way to the island…

I soooo love taking pics with sailboats...

Wala lang...

... and small islets too!

But of course, I took some pics with me and Mudra in it…

When we reached Crystal Cove Island, we were asked to pay an entrance fee of P200 per head. The Crystal Cove attendants were kind enough to give Mommy her senior citizen’s discount despite the absence of her ID. Oh well, obvious na obvious naman sa SC yung nanay ko noh?! Hehehe!

And so, we started with our tour. We needed to do some short trekking to see the entire island.

Our boatman slash tour guide, Kuya Joey, was kind enough to take our pictures so we could completely enjoy our tour as a group. Say nyo, yang si Kuya Joey eh half-breed, Cooper ang apelyido. Half-american pa ang loko!  Hehehe!

Since, it’s my second time in Bora, I am familiar with the place. We were taken to Cave 1 also known as Crystal Cave, where we enjoyed some quick dip in the island’s crystal clear water.

Si Mudra nakavest pa talaga... kala mo malalim ang dagat! Hehehe!

We just had a 10-minute swim there, then, off we went to Cave 2…

Mommy got a bit tired walking so she opted to rest and wait for us in one of the nipa huts we found along the way. I was supposed to suggest her the same as I knew we needed to crawl to get to the Cave. Baka di na kayain ng powers nya ang gumapang. Hehehe!

It was already past 11am, so Kuya Joey, asked that we go to Crocodile Island for some snorkeling.

I had troubles wearing life vest while snorkeling so I opted to go down without one. But since I don’t know how to swim, I just asked one of the boatmen to assist me and immediately save me in case I drown myself. Judith and Gemma were able to see some fish while I got myself busy playing at the katig:

My first time without life vest :P

When we were finished snorkeling, a smaller boat approached us and charged us P20 per head for snokeling fee. Parang disco bar noh, may entrance fee rin! Hehehe!

Since it was already past 12 noon, we asked Kuya Joey to drop us at Station 1 instead as we needed to have lunch.

As soon as the boat docked, I went rushing to the shore when I saw the Havaianas shop. Of course, that called for another photo op. LOL!

Addict talaga sa Havaianas :)

Since we were in Station 1, guess where did we have our lunch??? Where else but… at Jonah’s!!! We really got addicted with that fruit shake so we opted to take some light lunch there. Their food are quite affordable. Judith and Gemma ordered Seafood Pasta and Tropical Crepe while Mommy and I opted for the Boracay Sandwich and Mango Crepe… and again, some fruit shakes!

Again, it was a bit of a quick lunch. I requested that we further explore Station 1 as I wasn’t able to see the end of the island in our first visit. Apparently, Station 1 houses the more expensive resorts and offers a more quiet and relaxing ambiance.

My agenda was to go to Friday’s Resort and take some pics there. It was really freakin’ hot that we were almost ready to collapse. Good thing, we reached Friday’s Resort before we all ran out of breath.

At kelangan letter "i" ang drama ko??? Hehehe!

Going back to Station 2 was less of an ordeal as the skies turned a bit cloudy. It gave us more opportunities to savor the serene shores of Station 1. Oh, I got some glances from 2 hot looking Latino guys. Kaso naman kabuntot ko si Mudra. Sayang! LOL. And we also got to see Marc Nelson… and he smiled at us. Hmmm… di kaya si Mudra ang type nila. Hehehe!

I was able to get some nice shots in Station 1… of course, with me in it!

Sorry, I had to crop... very revealing back shot ito eh! Hehehe!

It was low tide that time so the Grotto area was very much accessible. Since Mommy wasn’t able to get near the Grotto on our first visit, I took her up the Virgin Mary’s image.

Then, it’s time to go back to our hotel to get ourselves freshen up as it was nearing sunset already.

Gemma and Judith went back to our hotel room while I opted to have a massage at the shore… one of the things I regularly do whenever I go to the beach. My massage session ended just in time for the sunset. I sooo love taking sunset shot so I would normally bum at the shore just to take pics of this amazing scene.
