Bora Escapade – Day 2 (051009)

May 18, 2009
It was 5:30 in the morning, my phone rang. Janice was calling. She and Joie were about to leave in less than an hour so I opted to have breakfast with them. Mommy joined us while Judith and Gemma savored their first morning in Boracay in bed.

It was just a short catching-up breakfast since Janice and I are in constant communication. So, what was left for us to do was this photo op:

Breakfast at La Carmela with Janice, Joie and Mudra

At the lobby... nakapantulog pa talaga ako! Hehehe!

And so, Janice and Joie left Boracay around 6:30am. Mom and I went back to the hotel room to get ourselves freshened up. Gemma and Judith were already prepping up when we got there.

We don’t hav anything scheduled for the day so I just dragged them for some shore walking so they could get familiarized with the place. But of course, lots of photo op happened along the way:

Mutya ng Pilipinas 1998 and Ms. Earth 1953... hahaha!

Full-fledged Boracay and Havaianas addict!

Full-fledged Boracay and Havaianas addict!

Since walking from Station 2 (La Carmela) to Station 1 is way too tiring, we opted to stop at the famous fruit shake shop in the entire island… no other than Jonah’s Shake!!! For Bora first-timers, this fruit shake is reall a must! Any Bora trip is not complete without taking a sip of this heavenly fruit shake.
Savoring each of our fruit shakes...

Savoring each of our fruit shakes...

They say that the Banana-Peanut shake is the store’s best seller. I wasn’t able confirm that thought as I’m  not much of an adventurous when it comes to food. I ordered my ever favorite Mango shake while Mommy had avocado. I can’t remember what Gemma and Judith ordered.
After that short Jonah’s break, we again continued to walk around. It was high tide that time so it was much even harder to explore the shores. But that high tide thingy did not prevent us from doing our thing… more photo op, that is!
Grotto shot... high tide kaya malayo ang shot!

Syempre with Mudra din!

Triquetra... very Halliwell sister!

Since it was a little past noon, we opted to go back and rest for a short while.

We just bummed around the shore. Gemma has been dying to get her skin tanned so she spent some minutes under the sun. Judith, Mommy and I, on the other hand, hid under a tree. Mga takot mangitim! LOL. Suddenly, a guy approached us and offered banana boat ride. Since we don’t have anything planned, we gave in to the offer. But hey, it took me like 5 minutes to negotiate for a P250-per-pax banana boat ride. And I even haggled to get my mom ride in the speed boat… for FREE! Lucky talaga si Mudra, Mother’s Day eh! LOL.

It was an ok activity for me. I just wish they flipped that boat so that ride would me more fun. But since there were kids on board, it was ok na rin.

Since it was a Sunday, we needed to hear mass at 4pm. So, after that short banana boat ride, we all went back to the hotel to get changed in more decent clothes.

The Holy Rosary Church is located somewhere in Station 1 so we took a tricycle going there. It was a small nice looking church. While inside the church, I confirmed one of my long-time wishes… I wanna get married in Boracay… in this very church! Since, Catholics are no longer allowed to have beach wedding, I will just settle for a beach reception. So, to my future groom and hubby, please take note of this. We’ll get married in this church! LOL.

Dito ako magpapakasal... promise yan!!!

I soooo love sunset so I didn’t let my 2nd night pass by without taking shots of the Bora sunset. Too bad though that our 2nd day sunset is not as amazing as I have seen in my first visit. But still, it took some shots.

Mother and daughter moment :)

After that short sunset pictorial, we had our buffet dinner along the shore. It was included in our package so eat galore kami.

Mudra, picture oh! Smile ka!!!

Mudra, picture oh! Smile ka!!!

It was gimmick night for all of us… yes, kasama si Mudra! Walang kokontra! LOL. We just had a drink in one of the bars along the shore and spent time listening to acoustic music with the calming sound of the sea as additional background. That made our night a more refreshing one.
Ke Mudra ang beer, akin ung shake ah! hehehe!

The rest of the night was again spent with shore exploration…

Fire dance somewhere in Station 1

Oh yes, Bora has already been invaded by Starbucks!

Oh yes, may Starbucks na sa Bora!!!

Papicture lang sa Regency Hotel...

... at sa Le Soleil na rin!

Since we were all a bit tired walking around the shore, we called the night off at around 11 midnight. Ang aga pa di ba?! Kasagsagan pa lang ng partee!!! Bakit ba, eh pagod na kami! LOL

So, it was snooze time for us…

Sleeping time...

  14. May 20, 2009 12:09 am

Ay ang sexy woot! Natuwa ako dun sa Mutya ng Pilipinas at Ms. Earth, may year pa talaga hehe.

Thanks for the sharing the tip about the fruit shake, I’ll surely do that pag nakapunta ko ng Bora..

250/pax ang banana boat?? Parang ang mahal, 150 lang sa Galera hehe. At oo nakakatawa! Hinde naman sya hugis banana, pencil nga!

It’s my first time to ride a banana boat last weekend, grabe I’m not gonna do it again! It flipped! At akala ko mamamatay na ko waaah!

I really adore the relationship you have with your mom, so sweet!

    Question po:
Hihi..

    • May 20, 2009 4:02 am

ay, it’s a must talaga ang Jonah’s Shake sa bora… hangsarap, joycee!

hmmm… mejo matagal na pinastop ng Catholic Church ang beach weddings. they feel na it’s more appropriate and scared inside the church… and it SHOULD be that way daw. ok na rin sa akin, beach reception na lang ang papangarapin ko. hehehe!

glad you enjoyed this post. 2 entries more to go 🙂
