I Dream of Boracay…

March 15, 2009

Whenever I hear that there’s an on-going promo fare by any of the local airlines, I would always find myself browsing fare for Boracay (well, next to HK, of course!). I have been to Boracay just once in 2007. I went there with 4 other girl friends from church. And yes, we got some good fare rates as we were able to find that zero promo fare offered that time. The accommodation package was quite affordable, too! If I remember it right, we spent less than P5K per head for our 4D3N package… airfare and accommodation included! Talk about cheap travel, eh!

Just recently, one of the local airlines had another promotional offer. I tried to check rates for my birthday (uhm, that would be next month, LOL!). But not much of a discount for the dates I wanted. I checked again and again and again… yep, it really takes so much time just to get those darn discounts. A P2K two-way fare will let me travel sometime June. So I thought, Boracay is not for me this year.

Well, that too-bad-I-can’t-get-a-discounted-fare feeling did not stop me from browsing at other sites. From time to time too, I check the Victoria’s Secret page. But of course, I didn’t click on the lingerie section in my last visit. Where else would I go but… the bikinis page! Oh yes, mejo makapal ang face slash guts ko to wear those things. Hehehe!

Di naman masama mangarap so I picked the styles I liked. And here are my top 5 faves:

Note to male readers: Don't look at this as porn material huh?! LOL!

Hmmm… I guess, I need to shed off some lbs and lots of waist slash tummy fats so I’d look a little like those gorgeous VS models. Hehehe!

Of course, I continued browsing for more. Cover ups, that is! Call me conservative but I really can’t just roam around the sea shore wearing those tiny bikinis. Hehehe! So I need some cover-ups. For me, it’s much sexier with if a girl goes HHWW with a loved one wearing something like these:

Some cover-ups for a more conservative look *wink*

Call me a cliche but I really like Boracay. I have been to other beaches but there is really something about Bora that I like. Mornings are just serene like this:

Night time can go as wild but before I get drunk and party like there’s no tomorrow, I normally sit on the shore and anticipate for this one first:

Hmmmm… now bring me back to reality! LOL!

I never been to Boracay. 😦 It’s also my dream to go there.

Araw-araw kitang balik-balikan dito. 😉

    • March 16, 2009 3:54 am

Yeah, Boracay is a bit too crowded. But if you wanna go there, it’s advisable to spend your vacay on weekdays and non-peak season. And try Station 1, it’s much peaceful there. LOL!

Thanks for the add. I will do the same. I like reading your posts. 🙂

    • March 17, 2009 5:25 pm

      anong momorahing hotel doon?

    • March 18, 2009 3:49 am

depende sa type mong accommodation eh. they have hotels and cottages there. and prices vary per location or the so-called “stations”.

    • March 16, 2009 3:57 am

I suggest you don’t miss Boracay. Admitedly, I got disappointed when I first laid feet on the island. Later on, I realized kung bakit sikat ang Bora. The sand is really fine and water is crystal clear.

I have been in Palawan too. I love the Underground River. It’s really a must-see place.

Pinas sunset is the best! 😉

wala bang topless sa boracay?…in case u wanna save money dahil sa airfare

    • March 16, 2009 3:59 am

Hmmm… I guess Pinas is not yet that ready for topless or nude beach. And I dont need to save money for bikinis, I still have lots of unused pairs in my closet. LOL!

    Hi Ms Winkie,

I’ve never been to Boracay but I plan to go there I hope within this year. I wonder if meron bang discount fare promo anytime soon from Cebu to Boracay…I’ll have to research on that.
By the way, i-popost ko na yong entry(tag mo) ko ngayon… after this comment. 😉

    • March 17, 2009 2:45 pm

Palagi naman may promo, Mon. Abang ka lang din. Sana rin makapunta ako ng Bora this year… am really keeping my fingers crossed.

  11. March 17, 2009 6:54 am

    Winkie! I missed being here.

Wow, this post reminded me of my Boracay visits. So many fun memories. Whenever I’m in Boracay, I just lounge sa buhangin hehehe. So the most daring thing I did in Boracay was not wear a skimpy bikini but ride a banana boat hahaha!

Hehehe! But I think I’m more adventurous. Type ko yang banana boat na tinutumba. Am not sure if they still do that. When I went to Bora, di na daw nila ginagawa yan kasi may nasaktang Koreano at dinemanda ung mga boatman. Huhuhu!

  12. March 18, 2009 3:33 am

waw..summer na summer na nga talaga.. gusto ko ding makapunta ng bora, kahit once lang, before i die.. diba? 😀

    • March 18, 2009 3:43 am

oo jem, ipon ka lang. tsaka take advantage of those promos. bora is such a nice place both to laze around and party.

Kaya u should dream about Palawan more…

Hehe.

opkors elysplanet, libre mag-comment. uhm, i have been to palawan na rin. unforgettable experience ung underground river. and palawan is one of the cleanest places i have ever been to.

honestly, mas love ko ang palawan. i just dream of bora now kasi i want to have a lazy weekend at the shore. palawan travel will involve trekking. no worries, i also have plans of seeing palawan again. just not soon.

ei, thanks for the visit. balik-balik lang ah!

    • March 18, 2009 4:32 am
